Apple Orchards

Today, we were invited to go to the apple orchards with our worship pastor, his family, and some of their friends. We had a wonderful time and have lots of pictures to share with you of our day...

Apple of our eye

Family picture, notice the bag we got to fill up with apples...may look small, but it holds ALOT!

Excited to have picked her very first apple off the tree

This was an apple shooter they had at the orchard...we were cheap and didn't buy tickets to do it, but that didn't stop the kids(and men) from trying to throw the apples at the targets. This is 6 of the 11 kids that went.

...and we had to taste

There were all kinds of different apples to pick

After the apple orchard, we brought a picnic lunch to enjoy. We decided to go visit the Amicalola falls and eat there while we were so close. This place is beautiful, and we can't wait to go back for a hiking trip.

Enjoying the scenery around our picnic table.

Picnics are always so much fun!

Dawson, Ethan, and Addison enjoying the snake exhibit at the falls.

Of course, we had to try out the playground there.

The beautiful Amicalola Falls...isn't God's creation AMAZING!!!

Had to throw this pick in....Addison thinks every time we leave the apartment now that she must take ALL of her purses with her. The other day she told me "hold a second" and this is what she came back with...too funny!

"Marmellows are Nummy"

Addison loves marshmallows. When she eats Lucky Charms, she manages to eat nothing but the marshmallows out of the bowl. Her dad told her the other day that marshmallows were yummy, now she says that whenever she eats them. So funny!

Addison has also started playing with her baby dolls more. She sits them in her seat and feeds and reads to them. It is so funny to watch her. Here she is reading to her babies. I started taping her a little to late.

Elmo Live

We have been looking forward to this since we moved to Georgia. Addison has been in love with Elmo for a while now, so we were excited to find out he was coming to Atlanta. Our seats at the show were a little far back, but we had a great time none the less.

Sledding Without the Snow

There are so many great parks all around us that we have been able to enjoy. This particular place is where we meet Sunday night for "Prayer in the Park" with all the churches from the area. We have been one other time to walk and saw some kids riding on cardboard boxes down the hills. So, of course we had to try this out. Hope you enjoy the videos as much as we enjoyed doing it!

Enjoying an Icee after all the excitement:)

Fall Fun!

Addison and I decided to go on a nature walk around the apartment the other day. We found lots of different colored leaves and decided to do some leaf rubbings and make a picture with what we found. Can't wait to see all the leaves change color:)

Kidstock

We had to try this park out since we have had a lot of people tell us about it. We just picked the wrong day to go. Having a picnic in the blazing sun is not much fun:(

Homemade Pizza Time

We decided to make homemade pizza tonight. It was fun, but really messy!

Spreading the dough
Adding the yummy cheese

Of course she had to taste it to make sure it was good

Finished product

Dinner is served
She decided she was getting hot before we made the pizza, hince no shirt. Easy clean up for us:)

Labor Day Fun!

We had a great time visiting with friends over Labor day weekend! On Sunday afternoon we were invited to a cookout and enjoyed some time swimming. Sunday night, we had a youth get together. Our day was busy, but louds of fun!! Sorry, pictures are backwards.

Addison had to join the youth in a game of football

Celebrate Freedom 2010

Today, Matt, Addison, 2 of our youth, and I went to Celebrate Freedom in Atlanta. We could not pass up a FREE concert with great Christian artists and couldn't have asked for more perfect weather. Addison had a blast walking around visiting the venues, dancing to the music, and eating a snow cone and cotton candy. Yes, we are praying she sleeps tonight after all the sugar she inhaled.

Watching the ants dance
Yay for family time!

Enjoying some delicious cotton candy!

Church Fun

Wednesday night was an interesting night due to an unexpected guest in our nursery area. This guest overstayed its welcome trapped in the air duct. Our so called guest was a rather large and smelly raccoon. Thank goodness it was found and disposed of!! So, instead of dealing with the yucky smell on Wednesday evening, we had a fellowship outside of the church. The youth got out the gymnastic gear and put on a show for everyone. Of course, Addison had to join in on the fun....

Addison has also gotten really good at doing complete rolls. Maybe she will be our little gymnast one day:)

I had to post this video of her finally telling the truth about her age. She has continuously told everyone she is 2 ever since she turned 1.

We also received a package from Nana and Papa this week in which Addison was very excited about!

Trying on her new boots....can you tell she loves them!

Learning All The Time

We thought we would try to capture the brilliance of our little girl. Yes, we are biased on this issue. She is starting to sing some when she hears a song she likes. On one of her Elmo movies there is a song about counting to 4. Also, Mom has been working with her on the alphabet song. Something that really surprised us was how she knew some words to Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. We knew it was time to bust out a camera. Hope you enjoy! She is learning so much and it is a blessing to see her grow. We love you all!
