Sunday Afternoons at the Park

Sunday afternoon we went to eat lunch with some of the youth, and then went to play at a park after. Addison had a great time playing on the playground and cheering on her dad as he played basketball.

Addison wanted to join in the game.

Sporting her new beanie.

Climbing like a big girl.

What a cool seesaw. You had to sit opposite seats.

This is Addison trying out her new paint from Grandma and Grandpa. Love it! It is the Color Wonder that is clear and only colors on certain paper.

Addison's 2nd Birthday Party

I can't believe Addison is 2 years old. Grandma and Grandpa threw Addie a birthday party while we were here in Illinois. We went to eat with all the family at Monical's (our favorite pizza place in IL) and had cake after. Everyone had a great time visiting, and Addison had a great 2nd birthday!!

Holding her balloon bouquet from Grandma.

Opening the present from Grandma and Grandpa...

...lots and lots of arts and crafts to have fun with!

Happy Birthday to Addison

Addison's First Basketball Games

This week we are visiting Matt's family in Illinois for Thanksgiving. It just so happen to also be the week of the Turkey Tournament, Austin's first basketball games for the year. Matt was really excited about getting to take Addison to her first basketball game, and Addison was excited too. She has told us all week leading up to this that she was going to see "Austin playka basketball." She had a great time cheering him on during warm ups and kept Grandma and Grandpa VERY busy during the game. The following are pictures from both of the games we have been to so far.

Wet from running in through the rain.

Addison was given the ball by the ref to hold during a timeout. She was excited!

Final score 100 to 55 with Rajah's taking victory.

Watching the boys warm up. I think she feels at home at bb games.

Getting sleepy on Grandma.

Addison and Baily met a friend after the game.

Excited to see Uncle Austin after the game.

You have to listen closely, but this is a video of Addison's yelling "Austin" non stop during warm ups.

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

...Maybe in our house a little early. We decided to put up our Christmas tree earlier than usual this year because we are going to be visiting family around the holidays, but still wanted to have time to enjoy it. So, Friday evening, we got to work. This was Addison's first time helping/seeing our Christmas tree. Last year, we decided it would be best not to put it up due to her age and the fact that we probably would have spent more time telling her to "not touch" than enjoying it. This year, however, she was the perfect age. She was SO excited when she saw the glittery balls and got to put them on the tree. Her decorating skills are not quite there yet (she put every ball we gave her in the same spot), but she had a BLAST and that is all that counts:)

Helping daddy put the hooks on the balls

Hanging her first ornament
and again

"I wonder what's in here?"
"Glittery balls!"

Daddy sugar

So proud of her decorating skills!

After we were done, we enjoyed watching Elf and eating popcorn together. Yes, we are a little early on everything:)

Peanut Festival 2010

This year was Addison's first trip to the Peanut Festival in Dothan, AL. I have so many fun memories of going to the peanut festival especially during my high school years. It just so happened that the week Addison and I were visiting Florida that it was going on, so we had to take advantage of it. On Thursday night, the whole family(minus the little kids and Matt) got to go and enjoy it together. Addison had a great time riding rides with her cousins, feeding the animals, and of course enjoying the GREAT carnival food!!

Three excited cousins...can't tell by their expressions, however!

This was Gavin's and Kenzie's favorite!

...not so sure about Addison

Feeding the camels and other animals with Aunt JeniLee..didn't get a good picture of her actually feeding them, but she did!

Riding the helicopter with Aunt Katie and Kenzie

Wasn't so sure this was a good idea after I got on this one and it started spinning...Addison wasn't so sure either
